Inf-convolution of risk measures and optimal risk transfer

We develop a methodology to optimally design a financial issue to hedge non-tradable risk on financial markets. The modeling involves a minimization of the risk borne by issuer given the constraint imposed by a buyer who enters the transaction if and only if her risk level remains below a given threshold. Both agents have also the opportunity to invest all their residual wealth on financial mark...

Mathematical Analysis of a Inf-Convolution Model for Image Processing

We deal with a second order image decomposition model to perform denoising and texture extraction that was previously presented. We look for the decomposition of an image as the summation of three different order terms. For highly textured images the model gives a two-scale texture decomposition: the first order term can be viewed as a macro-texture (larger scale) which oscillations are not too...

Short Note on Inf-Convolution Preserving the Fatou Property

We model agents’ preferences by cash-invariant concave functionals defined on L∞, and formulate the optimal risk allocation problem as their infimal-convolution. We study the case of agents whose choice functionals are law-invariant with respect to different probability measures and show how, in this case, the value function preserves a desirable dual representation (equivalent to the Fatou pro...

Random G-Expectations

We construct a time-consistent sublinear expectation in the setting of volatility uncertainty. This mapping extends Peng's G-expectation by allowing the range of the volatility uncertainty to be stochastic. Our construction is purely probabilistic and based on an optimal control formulation with path-dependent control sets.

Weak Approximation of G-Expectations

We introduce a notion of volatility uncertainty in discrete time and de ne the corresponding analogue of Peng's G-expectation. In the continuous-time limit, the resulting sublinear expectation converges weakly to the G-expectation. This can be seen as a Donsker-type result for the G-Brownian motion.
